The Physical Education Programme aims to contribute to the physical, mental and social education of the pupils through the provision of a structured programme which follows the N.I Curriculum and reflects the aims of the College.PE provides the ideal environment to develop thinking skills and personal capabilities whether working with others, setting targets, organising and managing tasks or respecting views and opinions of others.
At Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils will have the opportunity to participate in the following sports, football, rugby, netball, hockey, gymnastics, modern rhythmic gymnastics, cheerleading, trampolining, dance, badminton, health related fitness, cross country, sports hall athletics, athletics, short tennis, cricket,handball,volleyball, basketball, unihoc, orienteering and rounders.
Pupils at Coleraine College have the opportunity to participate in a range of after school activities. These include football, netball, cheerleading and athletics. Sports teams compete in all the above sports in either local, district or provincial competitions.
The PE department seeks to maintain high levels of participation so that each pupil can fulfil their potential and enjoy their physical education experiences.
School facilities include an assembly hall, gymnasium, two all weather pitches, two tennis courts and two football pitches.

- Permanent orienteering course in school grounds

- Score indoor football centre
- Energise Fitness Centre
- Somerset, Downhill and Springwell Forests for cross-country and orienteering
