Maths Department 

Courses of study offered

·        Key Stage 3:-All pupils in Years 8, 9 and 10 follow the Revised Northern Ireland Curriculum. All pupils complete Key Stage 3 examinations at the end of Year 10.

·        GCSE Mathematics CCEA Exam Board for pupils in Year 11. This is the new 2 teir Modular (non-coursework) specification. Unit T1 or T2 or T3 is completed in Year 11. Unit T5 or T6 is completed in Year 12.

·        GCSE Mathematics AQA Exam Board for pupils in Year 12. This is the new 2 teir Modular (non-coursework) specification. Units 1 & 2 are covered in Year 11 and Unit 3 is covered in Year 12

·        Entry Level Mathematics is offered for pupils in some classes in YEARS 11 & 12. This course is deigned for those pupils who find Maths immensely challenging. It is made up from portfolio work, process work and an examination.

·        GCSE Mathematics (Modular/Linear as appropriate) for pupils in Year 13 who wish to resit their GCSE exam to improve their grade.
